Throws

A throw is the fastest way to change how a room feels. It softens a hard-lined sofa, adds warmth to a bed that looks too formal, and brings colour into a neutral space without committing to anything permanent.

Choosing a size. A generous throw at around 150 × 280cm will drape across a three-seater or run the width of a queen bed. Smaller throws suit a single armchair, a bench, or the foot of a bed as an accent rather than a cover.

Choosing a tone. Neutrals like sand and rust layer into almost any palette and are the safer choice if your sofa is already patterned. A stronger colour or graphic weave works best where the rest of the room is quiet and you want one thing to hold the eye.
