Styling with decor

Group in odd numbers. Groupings of three tend to read more naturally than pairs, vary height and texture within a grouping for visual interest.

Mix materials. Pair matte ceramics with glass or textured baskets with smooth vases, to avoid a display feeling flat.

Layer, don't crowd. Leave breathing room on a shelf or console, a few well-chosen pieces read as considered; too many reads as cluttered.
